Wildfires in Jasper

The team at Fresh Tracks Canada is devastated by the situation in Jasper and our thoughts are with our beloved partners and community in Alberta. This area of Canada has always held a special place in our hearts. We’re grateful for the area’s first responders and emergency personnel who are working so hard to get these fires under control, and wish them safety.

If your trip is affected, one of our Customer Experience Specialists or our partners will be in touch directly, as soon as possible, either by phone or by email.

The destination of Jasper, Alberta, is currently affected by a nearby wildfire. An evacuation order was issued for the town of Jasper at 10pm MT on July 22 and the town was evacuated. The highway between Banff and Jasper, and Jasper National Park are currently closed.

Please know we are treating this issue with urgency and are monitoring this situation. These unfortunate events are beyond our control. Should your trip be impacted by the wildfires, our team will be in touch to advise of alternative arrangements and to help navigate any issues. We will be working in chronological order of travel dates, starting with our travellers currently on the road.

Yes. We highly recommend insurance as our trips are non-refundable. Insurance coverage will protect your investment and offer peace of mind. Our insurance packages include all-inclusive and non-medical options. Please ask your Fresh Tracks Canada travel advisor about insurance.

You should check the wording on your insurance policy and confirm with your policy issuer the conditions surrounding medical coverage for contracting COVID-19 while in Canada. If you do not have insurance coverage, we’d encourage you to seek out a policy that provides coverage for COVID-19 related events on vacation, including medical repatriation expenses so you can get home.
